Who's here

Mostly established couples, both partners usually somewhere in their forties, looking for a woman to join them. A smaller number want another couple, or a single man.

Single women are the fewest by a wide margin and their inboxes show it, so if you're a couple, patience is most of the job. Single men get fewer replies than either group; the ones who do well write to both partners and mention something from the profile instead of leading with themselves.

A good number of profiles say outright that they're new to this. Saying so is ordinary here, and it tends to filter for the people willing to go slowly.

Messaging is where that changes. A free Classic account opens whatever a VIP member has sent you, but writing first is a VIP feature. VIP also adds the Verified filter, which narrows a search to members a moderator has matched against their photo ID.

You can sign up with a screen name rather than your own, keep your photos private and share them one to one, and block anyone without them being told.
